We dream almost every day. Across cultures, dreams have been understood as prophecy, memory, visitation, or illusion. In psychology, they are the language of the unconscious; in philosophy, they destabilise certainty itself. When Zhuangzi questioned whether he had dreamt of being a butterfly—or a butterfly dreamt of being him—the boundary between reality and imagination began to dissolve.

Dreams of Reality inhabits this unstable threshold.

Across painting and sculpture, the works gather around moments where reality loosens: dreams and nightmares that linger into waking life; stories inherited, repeated, and recombined; symbolic motifs that open onto larger allegories; figures held in quiet duration when narrative resolution dissolves; and surreal presences rendered with hyperreal care—forms that borrow the texture of the real so that the dream feels physically near.

The exhibition invites viewers to move between realism and abstraction, the tangible and the intangible, the remembered and the imagined—until the distinction itself begins to waver:

Are we observing dreams shaped by reality, or living within reality’s dream?
