About Artist

Rosy Lloyd is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans landscapes and portraiture. Rosy’s artistic journey is shaped by her ability to observe fleeting moments and translate them into works that resonate with emotion and memory. She works across a variety of media, often combining intuitive techniques with a strong sense of colour and composition. Her portraiture and landscapes reveal a deep engagement with both external surroundings and inner narratives, balancing representation and abstraction in innovative ways.

With a career that has garnered recognition across Australia, Rosy has been awarded the AME Bale Prize in Painting (2019) and shortlisted for numerous esteemed prizes, including the Portia Geach Memorial Award, the Paddington Art Prize, and the Doug Moran Portrait Prize (semi-finalist).
