EMMA BAHAMA
Emma Bahama is an abstract expressionist painter based in Daylesford, Victoria. Her elegant works of thick layered acrylic on canvas gradually reveal the the vibrant colourful under layers the longer you look. Drifting in and out of focus from abstract gestures to visions of the past, fears of the future, her palette is intentionally neutral, with the thick layers of paint applied over and over to form a luscious surface you want to reach out and touch.
Emma was a finalist in both the 2024 National Emerging art Prize and the Liminal Art Prize in 2025. She has exhibited as both a solo artist and in group exhibitions in Australia and New York and her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, House and Garden, Habitus, Grazia and The Age.
