CAMILLE KATHRYN WISEMAM
Her paintings draw on the blue humanities to examine the ocean’s power to shape, destroy, heal, and endure, re-positioning it as central to cultural and environmental discourse. Following a self-curated exhibition in 2025, Wiseman relocated to Italy to study fresco painting under a Florentine conservator and figure painting in southern France, integrating traditional methods with contemporary environmental narratives.
Camille Kathryn Wiseman is an emerging Australian artist whose work bridges classical oil painting with contemporary allegories of the ocean. With a background in biomedical engineering and prosthetics, she brings analytical depth to her exploration of water as a spiritual and ecological force connecting humanity and the natural world.
Wiseman received 2nd Prize Winner of the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Catherine K. Gyllerstrom Emerging Artist Award 2025, and her work is held in private collections across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Italy.
